Yerushalayim – In a quiet neighborhood of Yerushalayim, a respected baal tzedakah has taken on a personal project—supporting bereaved families through Chizku. “It started with one family,” he shared, “but once I saw the kind of work Chizku does, I knew this was a real zechus.”
This donor, who asked to remain anonymous, meets personally with families on occasion. “I went to visit a woman with six children. Her husband was a chaver kollel who was tragically killed during the war. She didn’t ask for help. She asked for dignity. For someone to look her in the eye and say, ‘You’re not alone.’”
He explains, “Chizku isn’t just a chessed organization. It’s rachmanus with seichel, it’s support with kavod. They don’t come in like outsiders—they become family.”
When asked what motivated his monthly support, he answered simply: “We all daven for yeshuos. But this is the kind of tzedakah that tears open the gates. There’s no greater kavod than helping a fellow Yid pick up the pieces of their broken world.”
