Some of the activities of Chizku

Healing Getaways (Retreats)

For couples facing unbearable grief, a few quiet days away from daily life can bring comfort that words cannot. Chizku provides short, dignified retreats in peaceful locations like Tzfas or Yerushalayim, where parents can rest, reflect, and begin to breathe again — together. No expectations. No pressure. Just quiet chizuk in a calm, private setting.

Discreet Support & Assistance

Grieving parents don’t want to explain. That’s why Chizku’s assistance is entirely discreet. From arranging a Shabbos apartment to sending quiet chizuk packages, every interaction is handled with complete kavod and privacy. We’re here — no questions asked, no bureaucracy. Just help, from the heart.

Follow-Up & Emotional Support

The pain doesn’t end after the levayah. Chizku stays with families long after — checking in, listening, and helping them find their footing again. Sometimes it’s a call. Sometimes a quiet visit. Always from people who’ve been there, and who understand what not to say.

History of Chizku

Chizku began with one father’s pain. After experiencing the devastating loss of a child, Rabbi Avrohom Kluger felt a calling to ensure that no other parent would have to navigate such heartbreak alone. What began quietly — a phone call here, a Shabbos apartment there — grew into a full network of support for bereaved parents across Eretz Yisroel. With sensitivity, discretion, and deep personal understanding, Rabbi Kluger built Chizku not as an organization, but as a family — a family for those who lost, and often feel lost themselves. Today, Chizku continues that mission, one couple at a time.

Haskamos

Chizku operates with the full backing and heartfelt support of Gedolei Yisroel across the spectrum — Roshei Yeshiva, Admorim, and Rabbanim from every corner of Klal Yisroel. Its work has received warm haskamos from leading poskim, alongside praise and admiration from seasoned askonim, mental health professionals, and community leaders. Whether Litvish, Chassidish, or Sephardi, the message is the same: Chizku is filling a void that no one else is addressing — offering a lifeline of healing and strength to grieving parents in their darkest hour.

Testimonials

Listen to what Chizku families have to say
A Shoulder to Lean On

A Shoulder to Lean On

Chana M., Beit Shemesh

"It wasn’t just the money or the help — it was the feeling that someone cared. A warm package before Yom Tov. A volunteer who came to take the kids out. A listening ear when I couldn’t hold it in anymore. Chizku became family to us when ours was torn apart."

They Remembered Us When Everyone Moved On

They Remembered Us When Everyone Moved On

Mrs. R. K., Yerushalayim

"After we lost our daughter, the phone calls stopped, the visitors dwindled, and we were left alone in silence. Chizku remembered us. They checked in, helped us with errands, and even made sure we had food before Yom Tov. It wasn’t a one-time thing — they walked with us through the entire year."

Not Just Help — Dignity

Not Just Help — Dignity

Y. S., Elad

"As a widowed father of four, I was overwhelmed. I didn’t want to take handouts. But Chizku stepped in with such kavod and care — arranging everything discreetly and respectfully. They never made me feel like a nebach, only like someone they were zocheh to help."

Helping My Children Smile Again

Mrs. T. L., Modiin Illit

"My children were broken. They were afraid to laugh, afraid to move on. Chizku sent counselors, support groups, and even arranged a little trip — just for them. Slowly, they came back to life. They gave me back my children."

I Wanted My Maaser to Count

R. D., Monsey

"I’ve given to many tzedakos, but I never saw such a combination of seichel, warmth, and real impact. Chizku’s team knows what they’re doing — they operate with heart, and with cheshbon. I feel confident every dollar is helping in ways I can’t even imagine."

The Zechus I Was Looking For

L. G., London

"After experiencing a personal yeshuah, I was searching for a cause to support as a hakaras hatov. A friend told me about Chizku. When I saw the work they do — the kavod for the almanos, the chizuk for the yesomim — I knew this was it. It’s a zechus for my whole family."
